Employment Overview

IM Sports employs over 150 students each semester to execute program activities on a nightly basis. The goals for the employment opportunities include providing a consistent, organized, professional experience to all participants - including employees, as well as polishing transferable skills such as communication, time management, conflict resolution and problem solving.

Employment Eligibility:

  1. Enrolled in at least six credit hours for the semester (3 credit hours for Summer employment)
  2. Good standing within UREC
  3. Complete and turn in all payroll paperwork
  4. Attend all required trainings and certifications

Available positions through the IM Sports program:

Official                   

  • Work with others to provide a safe and fun playing envoironment by enforcing rules. They also work as a team with the other IM Sports staff to execute the program goals through positive customer service, facility maintenance and enforcing policies. It is important to note that prior experience is necessary! All we ask is that you come in ready to have fun, work hard, learn and improve!
  • Entry level (no experience necessary);

Scorer/Timer 

Supervisor 

  • Preferred 1+ semester experience in the IM or Club Sports program
  • For Spring 2020: Please submit a cover letter, resume & application by 3pm, Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 to the UREC Offices in the Student Recreation Center.

Program Assistant 

  • 1+ semester experience as Sports & Activities Supervisor preferred
  • For Spring 2020: Please submit a cover letter, resume & application by 3pm, Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 to the UREC Offices in the Student Recreation Center.

Application materials must be turned into the UREC Main Office - Student Recreation Center.
