Intramural Sports Program

TITLE: Activity Programmer

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director for Intramural and Club Sports

Position Summary: The Intramural Activity Programmer will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Director for Intramural Sports and Club Sports with daily administration and marketing of all Intramural and Club Sports activities. Each Activity Programmer will be given a number of activities which they are responsible for per semester.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement and oversee all assigned activities and events to include Team Sports, Individual/Dual Activities, Special Events and Club Sports events/practices
  • Organize and maintain all Entry Forms as well as Team Rosters and Player Addition Forms
  • Develop packets to include rules, schedules, brackets, phone lists, and other information prudent to each assigned activity
  • Review all scoresheets for assigned Team Sports and record win/loss records and post each week 
  • Complete daily check of drop-box in the SRC and review all result sheets from assigned Individual/Dual Activities and record wins/losses on master bracket and post daily
  • Facilitate Individual/Dual Activities and ensure they are running on a timely basis through phone calls and emails to participants as needed
  • Complete daily walk-through of all bulletin boards to ensure that current schedule and other relevant information is posted properly, and assist with all publicity concerns for each assigned activity
  • Record and keep statistical reports on participation, participants, games played, forfeits, defaults and other relevant information pertaining to assigned activities
  • Coordinate all equipment and facility needs with the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Club Sports and the Associate Director of University Recreation
  • Attend and assist in conducting all Team Representative Meetings
  • Hold daily office hours as scheduled with the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Club Sports
  • Attend all weekly Supervisor and Programmer meetings
  • Be present at all championship games for your assigned sports and assist with t-shirt distribution and championship photos
  • Communicate directly with Intramural and Club Sports participants and Activity Supervisors about practices and/or events
  • Prepare and maintain daily supervisor and field/court clipboards
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Fact Folder for each assigned activity
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Club Sports or the Associate Director of University Recreation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years experience with the Intramural Sports Program.
  • Certifications in CPR-PR, AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens. (Provided if needed)
  • ASU Van Driving Certification. (Provided if needed)
